UPDATE : Perubahan tempat tinggal

A bit about Kg. Kuala Teriang
Langkawi is made out of an archipelago of 99 tropical islands along the northwestern coastal of Peninsular Malaysia, approximately 30 kilometers from Kuala Perlis and 51 kilometers from Kuala Kedah off mainland. The main island is known as Langkawi Island. These islands are shrouded by interesting myths and legendary tales of giants and ‘garuda’ birds, warriors and princesses, war and love stories.
Kuala Teriang is a small village on the west coast of Pulau Langkawi. It is located along Jalan Kuala Teriang, which leads to a dead-end at the coast where Masjid Kuala Teriang is located.
The Kuala Teriang area has one of the biggest paddy fields in Langkawi. It is quite picturesque as you drive along the road passing through it.

Introduction : Sekapur Sireh Seulas Pinang
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...
BISMI Project [Projek Bakti Ikhlas Siswazah Malaysia-India] is the second volunteering project designed by IMAM-India SC together with CUCMS SC after the KKPA Project [Kem Kesihatan dan Perubatan Asas] which was held on 16th January 2009 to 18th January 2009 at Cameron Highland. Since this programme indirectly involves medical students from Malaysia as well as from India, hopefully it can act as a meeting point for Malaysian medical students to unite together, further foster the bonding of ukhuwwah, and boost the communication and dissemination of information among each other.
BISMI Project is a three days programme which aims to provide a platform for medical students to get acquainted with basic medical services as well as uncovering the medical knowledge and scientific breakthrough updates. Our target batches for this programme is for those who will enter their clinical year. Surely this programme can prepare and gives great experiences in the medical field by volunteering the medical services closely with community out in the field.
Through this programme we can help to educate the community on the importance of leading a healthy life, offer choices to community lacking access to health resources through reproductive health that includes family planning, curative health care and immunization. We hope that this programme will give positive impacts to the students as well as the public.
BISMI project is held in which the participants can gain the grass root level experiences through volunteering work with vulnerable groups of children and women in Kampung Kuala Teriang, Pulau Langkawi. This programme is designed to utilize the participant’s creativity and motivation as well as their interpersonal skills to benefits the local people, especially children.
Last but not least, it is our prayers that we achieve spiritual enlightenment and physical and mental strength during this program. Insyallah..
